What is the Rapture?
The belief that before the second coming of Jesus to Earth, or final ressurection, believers will be raised to meet the Christ in the air, while non-believers will be left on Earth (Wikipedia, 2015)
The Book of Revelation
The revelation of Jesus Christ is communicated to John of Patmos through visions.
In these, a scroll of seven seal was presented and taken by the lamb with seven eyes and seven horns (Wikipedia, 2015).
The seven seals are then open:
Each of these seal unleashes terror to Earth; bringing war, famine and death to it's people (Wikipedia, 2015).
A great earthquake erupts and the sun becomes black, the moon turns red and every mountain and island is moved out of place.
Great peals of thunder rumble and lightning flashes (Wikipedia, 2015).
HOME
Hail and fire are thrown to the Earth, burning the trees and grasses.
A burning mountain falls from the sky into the ocean, killing the sea creatures and destroying the ships.
A star falls from Heaven and poisons the rivers and springs, and opens the bottomless pit.
The sun, moon and stars are all darkened.
Locusts arise from the smoke and harm anyone without the seal of God on their forehead.
Mankind is killed by plagues of fire, smoke and brimstone.
